Cost - $140-$250 (varies, available used ONLY)

Where to find - Start searching Classifieds as this box has been DISCONTINUED
Misc. - IMO the best of the airboxes for the least amount of $$$. CARB & SMOG legal.


Neuspeed P-Flo

Cost - $100 to $192 +/- (assumed used to NEW cost)
Filter type - Cotton, K&N style

Misc. - Looks to be a SRI/airbox combo, but open element. DIY a top and seal it perhaps?

ITG Maxogen Airbox



Cost - £391.26 +/- (Can only find to purchase overseas. Used can/will be cheaper.)

Budget EBAY Short Ram Intake



Cost - $40 SHIPPED to your door.

Misc. - EASILY the CHEAPEST SRI on the list. Swap out the cheapy filter to a K&N and this is as good as almost anything else on this list. Also, I'll support anybody who has a chick and an Ep3 as his Ebay store banner. Cheap crappy Chinese filter (change if at all possible, although it will work).


DC Sports Short Ram Intake

Misc. - This is just an example of the cheap Chinese or Ebay cold air intakes for the 02-05 Si. I'd highly recommend changing to a K&N filter and looking for one in a 3.0" diameter vs. the 2.5" diameter if you're going to "go budget" on your intake.

Misc. - Specific to fit around the battery on our car, instead of under our battery tray. Fuse box must be relocated as well. Has since been redesigned by Injen so this version is discontinued.


Injen SP1576 Cold Air Intake (02-05 Si specific)

Filter type - Amsoil filter (no oil needed & air flow is improved based on test i found)

Injen SP Cold Air Intake (02-06 RSX Type S specific)
