Can anybody help me with some information for my website regarding Preludes sold in Italy?...



What (or where I can find details of) Prelude models that were sold in Italy (generations 1-5), and the years in which those models were sold. I am not asking for model specifications, just the model names, eg. Si, VTEC etc.

However there seems to be some differences in what Daniel M, carlettosan, and simolude are saying about the 5th gen models.



Are both 200hp models called Type S, or VTi ?

Ne ho viste in giro a Milano e passo davanti ha una tutti i giorni mentre torno dal centro.

anche io a Roma ho visto una S2K Type R, che vuol dire????



dai concessionari italiani non uscivano con quella scritta, poi uno ci appiccica sopra quello che vuole!

about 2.2 models:



from 1997 to 1999:

1- Prelude 2.2 VTI = 185 hp 4WS MT/AT

2- Prelude 2.2 VTI-S = 185 hp ATTS MT

engine type: H22A5, very similar to USDM H22A4



from 1999 to 2001:

1- Prelude 2.2 VTI = 185 hp 4WS AT (*)

2- Prelude 2.2 VTI = 200 hp 4WS MT

3- Prelude 2.2 VTI-S = 200 hp ATTS MT

engine type: H22A8, pretty the same as JDM H22A (Type-S model, only sold on japanese market)

(*) H22A5 engine



Euro Ludes are more refined than USDM models and got better engines (not OBD2, like JDMs)

And you probably know that H22A4 engines are overrated of 15 HPs, so you can see why I say they are almost the same as our H22A4, rated at 185 HP.

The main difference between H22A5 and A8 is about compression ratio, increased from 10 to 11 with new pistons.
