Allora!
Ciaoooooooo!
Dan.(24, 185, Mi)
Honda Accord 2.2i praticamente Type R(aven) driver.

kakkio lo potevano scrivere almeno in inglese!!!!! : -->:"> : -->:"> : -->:">

Ehehe.....meravigliosamente UP!!!

"Other 5th Generation (1997+) Honda Preludes.
I have detailed the differences between Preludes available across the world. All Preludes were manufactured in Japan but have different specifications for different locations.
European Preludes:
In the UK and the rest of Europe, there are two size engines available, the standard 2.0 litre and the 2.2 VTEC. Both are available with a 5 speed manual transmission or the Sequential Sport Shift transmission. From 1999 onwards, European Preludes were fitted with a slightly different 2.2 VTEC engine, they had the H22A8 where the previous model had the H22A5. The H22A8 is rated at 197 BHP, where the H22A5 is rated at 185 BHP. I don?t think that the differences have been fully documented for the public, but after research I have found the differences are with the:
Air intake ducting/filter housing,
Camshafts with increased lift,
Catalytic converter is a larger size,
Different pistons giving a higher compression ratio,
Enlarged butterfly body (throttle body) from 60 to 62 mm,
Exhaust manifold / down pipe,
Exhaust piping has an increased bore of 57 mm instead 51 mm,
Flexible pipe before the catalytic converter is shorter,
Optimised ignition and injection timing,
Polished ports,
Valve seats readjusted from 60 to 45 degrees,
Last but not least, the valve cover is red.
I am planning to get the H22A8 air intake tubing for my car. I think the interior spec might be slightly different too, including electrically heated seats and electrically demisting wing mirrors.
There was also a special edition Prelude released called Motegi. This included the H22A8 engine and cosmetic differences including the OEM Honda body kit, 17" Honda alloy wheels and lowered sports suspension. The H22A8 engine is very similar to the 212 BHP H22A7 engine which is fitted in the Honda Accord Type-R.
Japanese Preludes:
There are a few different model Preludes available in Japan, including both 2.0 litre and 2.2 litre VTEC models. The names of them are different too, including Xi, Si, SiR and Type-S. The best one is the Type-S. It's engine which is the H22A (no number afterwards) is rated at either 217 or 220 BHP. Mechanically I think it is very much the same as the H22A8. They have a slightly different OEM Honda body kit, no sunroof and different front fog lights, which are sought after items.
US Preludes:
Preludes in America were fitted with the H22A4 engine which was rated at 195 BHP. From 2000 onwards, they were rated at 200 BHP, but this has been suspected to be false marketing hype from Honda. America just have the 2.2 VTEC, no 2.0 litre model. There are two models available - Prelude SS and Prelude Type-SH. The Prelude SS has the Sport Shift transmission and the Prelude Type SH has ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System). ATTS is a device which aids the handling of the car, it transfers torque between the wheels. It seems very similar to an LSD. The OEM Honda body kit has a slightly different front lip and there are also other minor differences. They don?t get the motorised headlamp adjustment, no coin tray, different steering wheel, different ECU (OBD2 instead of the European OBD1), different backseat, side repeaters are in the front bumper instead of the side wings, no rear fog light (legal mandatory requirement in the UK) and different 17" Honda alloy wheels.
