For the third consecutive year, Nissan Motorsport (NISMO) has won the Team Championship title for the Japanese Super GT series. The championship came down to the eighth and final round at Suzuka this weekend, where torrential rain caused the race to be shortened from 52 to 39 laps. NISMO team cars finished 2nd and 6th, garnering enough points to win the championship with a total of 86 points to Team Honda?s 82 points.

Rumor has it that the cars will return to the U.S. for a demonstration race in 2006. Cross your fingers!
